Controversial writers and denizens in Australia note- I’m going to post some things up on Intentious… and you can’t say anything because I might get (dum dum dum) offended!

I won’t delete your post, no. I will leave it up as a monument so I can take you to court for offending me and discriminating against me because I find your political opinion offensive, and I can sue you for insulting me. Payday, with the added bonus of silencing an ugly gob that dares to disagree with me.

This is what the Labor government in Australia is proposing, in consolidating the discrimination laws in a draft at the Attorney General’s office.

Check out Section 19.2.C of the draft

c) other conduct that offends, insults or intimidates the other person.

… the above can be applied to a protected Attribute which includes Section 22.3.e

(b) industrial history (union official?)
(e) political opinion;

That is another reason why you cannot trust Labor with the keys to the nation in the media age; they seek a way to shut down critics. Who defines what are grounds for offence, and what is the “truth”… the Ministery of Truth, perhaps?

Is it possible for a middle-aged caucasian hetrosexual male to be offended?

Whose to say that anyone who gives bad coverage to the Greens or Labor will not offend someone? (unbalanced coverage, while anything that only crticizes the Coalition is obviously “balanced”)

Perhaps these laws are meant to protect “minorities”, such as union bosses and minority Labor government, and scrutiny of the Greens by the “hate media.”

… speak, friends, while you still can, before this sinister escalation erodes further our Freedom of Speech

… this is madness, and this is definitely not Sparta
